Remote Manager™ is iSagacity’s web based platform for our advanced data mining and analysis products. It is a flexible and powerful platform for viewing and organizing your plant data into actionable information.  The schematic shows the basic operations of the Remote Manager platform.

Real time data from plant sensors are collected using our Data Integration Tool.  This tool collects, organizes and transmits the data from plant DCS/SCADA and/or data historians to an application server. Data can be updated as frequently as once per minute. In the ASP mode, this information is sent to the iSagacity servers via a secure Internet connection or alternatively, the platform can operate on a customer's Intranet. Once the data arrives on the central servers, it is immediately available for visualization on a secure web site. During the installation of Remote Manager and Process Data Miner, iSagacity engineers configure the software and its associated equipment database to plant specific criteria.  In either the ASP or Intranet mode, the customer has complete control over what data is stored on the network. Our alerting module can be configured for e-mail, pager or cell-phone alerts of any directly monitored parameter, any calculated parameter or other process indicators such as the data signatures developed by Process Data Miner.

Remote Manager has a built in pattern recognition engine which can be configured to detect any pre-programmed pattern or data signature.  A signature consists of a range of values for a set of parameters that is known to characterize a specific equipment condition.  For example, a specific combination of temperature and pressure that represents the fouled condition of a heat exchanger could be a signature. Another example of a signature is the vibration signal and oil composition when bearing failure in a pump is imminent.  A library of data signatures can be loaded during configuration of Remote Manager or if Process Data Miner is being used, new patterns are created on the fly.

Plant and corporate personnel as well strategic partners or the plant equipment OEM’s can have access to this actionable information 24/7. The customer controls who has access to the data. In the ASP mode, iSagacity maintains the IT infrastructure around the clock insuring high availability of the system. If you choose to manage the system yourself, iSagacity can deliver the technology as a turn-key system that runs on your network.
