iSagacity Releases Boiler Sage and Boiler Sage Lite 1.0

Half Moon Bay, California (December 2, 2002) – iSagacity, Inc., a leading supplier of Intelligent Process Monitoring technology, today announced that it has released Version 1.0 of it’s BoilerSage and BoilerSage Lite software. This new software is used to Simulate the behavior of water chemistry in fossil and industrial boilers. The software can be used by designers, operators and water chemistry consultants to optimize and trouble shoot water chemistry related issues.

Both BoilerSage and BoilerSage Lite use a chemical thermodynamic engine as well as detailed steam cycle material balances to determine chemical transport in the steam cycle. The user supplies detailed information regarding cycle components from a plant heat balance. The Lite version of the code has much of the functionality of the full version, but can only be used to model less complex systems BoilerSage allow users to troubleshoot cycle chemistry problems, optimize water chemistry treatment programs and address “what if” operational and design questions. Practically any cycle chemistry issue can be addressed using the Simulator. The underlying theory and chemical data in the BoilerSage products was developed by EPRI (www.epri.com) as part of ChemWorks, a family of codes for optimizing water chemistry in nuclear plants. The ChemWorks technology was licensed to iSagacity for commercialization in other applications. iSagacity now offers a complete portfolio of software for the water treatment professional.
