iSagacity to use SAAS platform for monitoring nuclear power plants:
iSagacity has begun using its Remote Manager SAAS platform to remotely monitor a fleet of nuclear power plants for a large US utility.

History

iSagacity was founded to provide engineering software and consulting services to the process industries. Prior to forming iSagacity, the founding team developed award winning engineering and data analysis software at the electric utility industry research consortia EPRI. In the mid 90's while at EPRI, they developed one of the first commercial web based monitoring systems. The system included a patented artificial intelligence algorithm to provide early warning of abnormal equipment or process operating conditions. By 2000 it had been installed in over 25% of the nuclear power plants in the US. It was recognized with an R&D 100 award, judged to be one of the 100 most technologically significant new products of the year.

iSagacity licensed the core algorithms from EPRI and began development of a second generation SAAS platform for equipment health monitoring applications. iSagacity introduced Remote Manager™ a web based process data analysis platform. Remote Manager turns raw sensor data into actionable information about the health of equipment or an entire process. Remote Manager has been used for monitoring and diagnosing process cooling systems, predictive maintenance of steam boilers and heat exchangers as well as monitoring water chemistry in public utility water distribution systems.

In 2007, iSagacity began developing a breakthrough approach to predictive monitoring and data classification known as Process Data Miner (PDM).  This system includes new patented machine learning technology licensed from NASA. PDM is integrated with Remote Manager to provide a seamless turn-key solution. PDM can be used in any monitoring application where value can be mined from raw data.
