iSagacity presents paper at ISA/POWERID Symposium
Murad Akhrarov and Peter Millett co-authored a paper titled, “A Novel Approach to Predictive Condition Monitoring and Knowledge Management in Power Systems,” that was presented at the 50th Anniversary POWID Symposium in Pittsburgh.

History

iSagacity was founded in 2001 as a provider of engineering software and consulting services to the process industries. The company provides process data mining and analysis software for the global process industries. iSagacity helps increase productivity and operating efficiency in its customer’s facilities thereby reducing O&M costs while also reducing energy usage. The founders of iSagacity have deep experience in the power industry having worked for several leading utilities and the electric utility industry research consortia EPRI. At EPRI, the iSagacity founding team developed the award winning SMART ChemWorks technology that was implemented in 30% of the US nuclear plants in less than two years. The technology won an R&D 100 award in 2000.

In 2003, iSagacity introduced Remote Manager™ as a web based process data analysis platform. Remote Manager turns raw sensor data into actionable information about the health of equipment or an entire process. Version 1 of Remote Manager has been used for monitoring and diagnosing process cooling systems, predictive maintenance of steam boilers and heat exchangers as well as monitoring water chemistry in public utility water distribution systems.

In late 2006, iSagacity began developing a breakthrough approach for predictive monitoring and data classification known as Process Data Miner.  This system includes patented technology licensed from NASA. We have integrated Process Data Miner with Remote Manager to provide a seamless turn-key solution for monitoring the health of industrial assets.
